| Types of Transcription Services |
According to the oxford
dictionary, the word transcription means “a written or printed version of
something”. Normally transcription is defined as converting various recorded
speeches into well written form. Almost every organization requires
transcription services but not all of them are the same because of the
difference in the nature of the organizations. The few common types of
transcription services are given below.
Medical Transcription: it is also
known as MT; it is related to the health care profession and is usually
referred by doctors and other health care professionals. MT deals with
converting audio recordings of the patients into various text formats. Legal
Transcription: it is generally used to convert court hearings, depositions and
other legal processes into text formats. Legal firms and court reporters also
use this type of transcription to get their recordings in written form.
Financial Transcription: this
type of transcription is often used by the financial firms for their converting
their financial reports, financial summary, analysis reports and different
events etc into various kinds of text format. Media Transcription: this type of
transcription is used by the entertainment industry. A good example of media
transcription would be the text displayed on a television screen during a
program.
